📖 Meaning of “Daan Ghati”
“Daan” means tax or donation
“Ghati” means narrow passage or valley
According to Braj tradition:
Lord Krishna used to stop Srimati Radharani and the gopis in this narrow path and demand “daan” (toll tax) when they carried milk, butter, and curd to Mathura.
This playful pastime is known as Daan Leela.
